  6. One-time Employee, more than 5 years

    Pros

It paid the bills for many years. I enjoyed the travel, I enjoyed some of the people I worked with.

    Cons

Too much micromanagement. Regional and corporate lead with intimidation. very seldom did you hear what you were doing right, but accept one number slip and make the tiniest infraction, then you lot were hounded. When I started, the bonus structure was realistic, over the years it became increasingly more than difficult. Then after the "investors" came in and the company went REIT, the goals to make a bonus were so out of achieve, it was was not fifty-fifty worth staying on board, because the base salary for a community managing director is among the lowest in the industry. The leadership from the regional leadership up are just worried about numbers, they say they are about their employees, but the practice not. They but intendance almost numbers. The loftier upward corporate leadership are and so out of bear upon with the reality of everyday working people, what actually goes on at the site level and what it actually takes to run a property, it is ridiculous. They should all manage a distressed property for most a month, with all the pressure and factors that every manager experiences everyday. Possibly that volition bring them back down to earth, because when you hear the COO, Steve, talk well-nigh his x motorcar garage and the cars that he has in the middle of an surface area that is filled with site level employees, well the fact that he is boasting about material possessions that these team members tin only dream most tells me he and other leadership are way out of touch on with their employee'due south reality. So Jobseekers beware, you volition be enticed by what is seemingly a keen compensation package, only one time you are on board, you will before long discover out that you are working y'all rear off for a very minimal salary. Because the bonus expectations were designed to salvage the company money. I was there for over v years and never had a functioning review or salary increase, recollect nearly that.

    Cons

Regional and Divisional Managers/VPs look to protect themselves merely, they do not care for the interests of holding managers or property staff. They do not promote the best from within, friends just. All executive staff and managers are sneaky and conniving. If it wasn't for this visitor selling a few years ago, it would be non-existent today.
